Meet Coach Jianmin Li

Calypso Divers - Blue Shark Swimming School

Coach Li is a licensed Swimming Coach licensed by the American Swim Association who heads up Calypso Divers Blue Shark Swimming School located at 401 E Bearss Ave Tampa Florida 33613. Coach Li has over 30 years of coaching and swimming instruction experience with the ability to help you develop as a swimmer from a youth, just learning to swim, to a tri-athlete looking to improve your swimming performance.

Coach Li brings a wealth of experience to his training, and is a graduate of Tianin College of Physical Culture.

Coach Li was a National Champion 6 times and held the Chinese National Record in the 400 m and 1500 m freestyle events.

He set new records in:

400 m freestyle * 800 m free style * 4x100m free style relay * 1500 m freestyle

Coach Li was the National Swimming Team Senior Coach from 1991 to 1993, earning the Tianin City Excellence in Coaching Award and in 1988 he earned the Tianin City Athlete Life Time Achievement award.
